The playgroup caters for 12 children between the ages of 4 and 6 years.
At this group the children are taught development of all motor-skills and are also being prepared for the “big school”.
By the time the children reach the age of 6 and are ready to move on the Grade 1 they already know the basics of numbers, alphabet, colours and shapes. Some of these children can at an early age of 5 years build a puzzle of up to 100 pieces on their own. This is an enormous achievement for them.
The playgroup is taught by a retired pre-school teacher.
When the opportunity arises, we try to take the children on road trips. In the past we went to the Pretoria Zoo and a horse riding school in Witbank. With the support from the community and businesses we are also able to hold birthday and Christmas parties for the children.
