Who are we?
Child Welfare SA EMALAHLENI is affiliated to the mother body, Child Welfare SA, the oldest and largest child protection.
Child Welfare SA e-Malahleni was established in 1937 by a group of volunteers from the community with the aim to address the needs of the underprivileged children in Witbank as well as doing hospital visits.
Today, CWSA e-Malahleni is a dynamic and leading child protection organisation in Witbank.
Our focus areas are:
To render quality developmental social work services to families with children under the age of 18 years and who are in need of care and protection
Services rendered include prevention, early intervention, statutory and community reintegration services.

News and Events:
Although our community is going through a rough time, we still have wonderful people who have the ability to donate to the less unfortunate.
The shoppers at Pick n Pay Klipfontein have been very generous during the past couple of months.
They have opened their hearts and cupboard and donated in large amounts to the organisation.
Without their donations, it would not be possible to assist as many people as we do.

As our clients are dependent on social assistance they not all in the position to treat their children to a Christmas with presents and all that goes with it.
During the November 2016 they were fortunate to be blessed with a Christmas party and be spoiled with wonderful presents. The party and the presents were all made possible by the Angels form SOUTH 32 mine.
We would like to thank these Angels who opened their hearts and wallets to ensure these children had a wonderful Christmas.
They also donated food hampers to our clients.

Events:
Gold Reef City
Children from our day care centres were treated to a trip at Gold Reef City.
This was a huge exciting day for them.
Team Building Exercise
At the end of 2016 we had a teambuilding exercise to help relieve some of the work stress and tension and to get to know each other better.
Programmes:
Under the guidance of our social auxiliary workers, our clients are growing vegetables in the community to ensure they our clients are getting fresh vegetables daily. This project is very successful.
Day Care
We do have 3 day care centres in the community. These centres help to keep the children off the streets and also ensures that these children have a good meal at least once a day.
These children are also taught the basic developmental skills needed before they can graduate to the next level.
Twice a week we have a playgroup at the office. These children a taught by a retired teacher who prepares them for school.
As these children also come from a struggling community there are groups and individuals who donate food hampers on a monthly basis to these families.
Currently we are running a soup kitchen at the Hlalanikahle Clinic in Ext 3.
The aim of this soup kitchen is to ensure that the elderly who are on treatment have a meal at least once a day before taking their treatment.

We have purchased a piece of land in Hlalanikahle Ext4.
We aim to build a drop in centre on the land.
